General Education (courses); GE requirements designed for other majors together with technical requirements of engineers can place high unit pressure on engineering, an issue in both the CC and CSU systems in obtaining a TMC. The UC system generally wants students to take technical courses for engineering admission whereas the CSU system has higher GE requirements, presenting difficulty in designing model curricula (MC).
